PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND INTERNATIONALIZATION

Introduction and Description
In an increasingly interconnected educational landscape, schools are expected not only to deliver high-quality teaching but also to cultivate meaningful international partnerships that enrich learning, strengthen innovation and contribute to European cooperation. This course—offered in both 5-day and 10-day formats—equips teachers, school leaders and educational staff with the conceptual foundations, practical tools and strategic insights necessary to design, lead and sustain impactful international projects within the Erasmus+ framework and beyond.
The programme examines project management and internationalisation as catalysts for institutional development. It introduces participants to the dynamics of collaborative leadership, motivation, teamwork and quality assurance, while situating these themes within contemporary European education policies. Participants critically explore how well-structured partnership projects can broaden learners’ horizons, foster intercultural understanding, enhance staff competencies and support whole-school transformation. By addressing issues such as leadership styles, peer-coaching, gamification for engagement, digital collaboration and strategic planning, the course enables educators to navigate the complexities of cross-border cooperation with confidence and creativity.
The course adopts a strongly practice-oriented approach. Participants gradually develop their own project concepts through workshops, simulations and collaborative design activities, receiving ongoing feedback from peers and trainers. They learn how to articulate project rationales, formulate objectives, plan activities, manage risks and design effective dissemination and sustainability strategies. In doing so, they build competencies that are highly relevant for Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2 project preparation, implementation and long-term impact.
Whether attending the intensive 5-day version or the more comprehensive 10-day programme, participants leave the course with a strengthened understanding of how internationalisation can empower their institutions, enhance professional practice and contribute to the broader goals of the European Education Area. They will be prepared to initiate or join high-quality partnership projects that promote innovation, collaboration and inclusive growth across educational communities.
