THE 4 CS IN EDUCATION: GETTING TO GRIPS WITH CREATIVITY, CRITICAL THINKING, COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION
Who is this course for?
The “Four Cs” (Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration) represent in a concise form the core of the key competences of 21st-century that must be taught at school and learned by future active citizens. This course is aimed at teachers and school staff from pre-school level to primary, secondary, vocational, adult and special needs education, staff of non-government organizations, government and policy makers and company staff as well as students and all those who would like to strengthen their skills regarding the 4 C’s in order to develop them as skills in their current and future students (regardless of the sector they are active in). Participants are expected to have at least B1 level of English proficiency.
Methodology
Methodology is based on theoretical lessons and presentations of examples of good practice as well as discussions and experience comparisons. Participants will be active protagonists since they will live an educational experience centered on the experimentation of their own ability. Participants will have the opportunity to acquire technical and practical knowledge through a methodology based on team work, discussions and elaboration using also a method of practical exercises and simulations. Participants will learn to take the role of facilitators rather than teachers so they could develop their students’ self-directed learning skills and turn them in protagonists of their own learning.
